ABOUT THE PROJECT
Concept and Architecture Since ancient times, people have combined gemstones and metals, believing that the setting is a vessel that preserves the energy of the mineral, and that if a gemstone is placed in a suitable setting, this duet will achieve perfect harmony, endowing its owner with truly great power.
The Lofts&Rosegold residential quarter is a vivid example of the interaction between two different eras of architectural art, where the historic building plays the role of the gemstone, and the new building serves as the luxurious “rose gold” setting that enhances the beauty of the Lofts.
When creating contemporary architectural landmarks that may become monuments of 21st-century art, we treat the city’s history with care. That is why we have preserved the original appearance of the Lofts building, designed in a solemn Neo-Renaissance style. With its brick façade adorned with pilasters, arched windows, and decorative niches, and with ceiling heights reaching 5–6 meters in the apartments, the Lofts will be the only pure example of loft-style housing in Riga’s Quiet Centre.
We chose rose gold for the setting because it is a luxurious, warm metal that reveals the mystical qualities of the stone it embraces. The Rosegold residential building will house 70 apartments with terraces, balconies, or private outdoor spaces. Rosegold protects the Lofts and highlights its beauty — its bay windows and upper floor volumes gently frame the loft building.
Interiors Modern design, sections of exposed brick walls, background music, a blend of eras and centuries, and the feeling that you never want to leave — and most importantly, that you don’t need to, because you are home. This will be the greatest gift for the residents of the quarter.
The interiors will be permeated by the main idea: uniting two buildings into a single harmonious whole.
The heart of Lofts&Rosegold will be the main lobby-hall, covering 220 m², with a ceiling height of 4.20 meters, a three-meter-long fireplace, and, crowning it all, a glass roof. On cold winter evenings, under the August night sky, during golden autumn days, or in the blooming spring, this will become the focal point and a social hub for the residents.
Location LOFTS&ROSEGOLD is located at 8 Strelnieku Street, in the most prestigious district of Riga, yet set apart from the tourist crowds. Within a short, leisurely walk lies the most beautiful part of the Quiet Centre, with buildings included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List. Here, a special cultural and artistic atmosphere has been created, where lovers of beauty can enjoy the pearls of Art Nouveau architecture.
Museums, concert halls, and theatres are within a five-minute walk. The charm of the area is enhanced by Kronvalda, Esplanade, and Viestura parks. The Old Town is just a 20-minute walk away.
